September is Hunger Action Month
The Hunger Network is a charity I give to on a monthly basis plus special donations a few times a year. While I don't have a personal connection or a story to share about the Hunger Network, I've checked out what they do, I've volunteered at 2 of their sponsored food pantries once each. I've seen 1st hand the people that are helped by their programs.
Food insecurity isn't always obvious. Many receiving food may not want to be known. Some pantries offer free clothing, some have special distributions for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Others have outreach opportunities for those seeking assistance.
Feeding America puts together every September info how we all can help. In reality, the small things all add up to make a large impact.

Some ideas you could easily implement:
Host a food drive in your office.
Probably 1 of the easier tasks to do. Put boxes near the entrance, near the copier(s), or even in the lunch room. Check out these locations of food pantries through out Cuyahoga County. OR...many churches have food pantries as well.

Become a Core member with the Hunger Network by having a monthly donation deducted automatically from your bank account or credit card. OR Make a 1 time donation.

Make a food rescue.
The Hunger Network has a food rescue program. You set the time involvement (how often, when, where, etc). It is completely at your availability. https://hungernetwork.org/food-rescue/
Set aside your change.
When you're out & about buying this or that and end up with change in your pocket. Set it aside for a week or a month. Use those funds as a 1 time donation.
OR...for 1 week or 1 month, don't grab your morning coffee. Instead set it aside and make a 1 time donation.
